We’ll talk about what’s bringing you down (anxiety, sadness, relationship struggles, or just feeling “not yourself”). I’ll explain how online sessions work, answer medication questions, and see if you feel comfortable with me. If we click, great. If not, no hard feelings. You have nothing to lose except a little bit of the weight you’ve been carrying.

Then we try something else. Seriously. Not every therapist or every method works for every person. I’ll never get offended if you tell me something isn’t working. We’ll change course — different approach, different pace, or even a different provider if that’s best for you. The goal is you getting better, not me being right.I primarily offer online sessions so you can attend from home, in comfy clothes, without even showing your face if that feels too overwhelming right now. All consultations are virtual via secure video or phone. If you need an in-person referral for specific situations (e.g., emergency assessments), I can help direct you during our free 15-minute chat.

You can’t prevent every hard feeling, but you can build a stronger foundation. Good sleep. Someone to talk to. Less pressure on yourself. Asking for help early — before you’re in crisis. Think of it like brushing your teeth for your mind. Small daily habits make a big difference.I do both. As a PMHNP, I begin with a full psychiatric assessment and talk-based support – talking through your fears, sleep, thoughts, and daily life. If medication could help (e.g., for depression or anxiety), we review pros and cons together, no pressure. I do not prescribe controlled substances during the first visit. We build a plan together, step by step.

We figure it out together in your first session. If talk-based care alone can lift the fog, we start there. If sleep, appetite, or focus still suffer, I’ll explain how adding medication (prescribed by me as your PMHNP) can get you back on track faster. No pressure. Just a clear plan.

Then we try something else – seriously. I will never get offended. As a PMHNP, I know that not every provider or every method works for every person. We can change our approach, adjust the pace, or I will help you find another provider (in-person or telehealth) who suits you better. The goal is you getting better, not me being right. You can tell me anything isn’t working, and I’ll support the next step – even if that means referring you elsewhere.

The website doesn’t list specific insurance partners, but I encourage you to ask during your consultation. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. My primary focus is keeping care accessible – many clients pay a flat fee for online sessions. Email me at info@tifamindcare.com with your insurance details, and I’ll confirm if I can work with your plan.
